Note: This standalone course is the first module from PETAA's Text fluency and reading comprehension course. If you have have already registered for that course, do not register for this course. There is also a separate standalone course for Text fluency.

This course explains the critical connection between text fluency and reading comprehension. It supports teachers to identify strategies that can be used in the classroom to enhance student learning. The importance of students making intentional choices when reading, which leads to better comprehension of texts, is highlighted.

What else do I need to know?

This course is self-paced and unmoderated. All participants have access to materials for 365 days from the date they register. 

How does it work?

  • Individuals: upon registration individuals will be sent a link to access the PL on our online learning platform.
  • Group Booking: Schools wishing to make a group booking should email us with the number of teachers they'd like to enrol, in order to receive a quote.
  • PL Subscription: Access this course via the PL Subscription homepage. All PL subscription members receive free access to all online unmoderated courses.
